www.blog-brie-champagne.com gives us the latest episode in the the Gnomon Lodge saga (Gnomon –Acte IV, December 31st).
The Super Prefect’s decree n° 232 delivered by registered letter closes the Lodge and demands the return of its warrant. The decree is based upon articles 11.4 and 10.1.2 of the GLNF Constitutions (2009). Article 11.4 stated that a Lodge must close when it ceases to have a minimum of 5 members and article 10.1.2 states that only the GM has the right to demand the return of a warrant.
In his reply the WM Jean-Noël Deloisy informs the Super Prefect (no doubt this sub-dictator only dictated the decree as he “can neither read nor write”) that article 11.4 in not applicable because Gnomon Lodge has 15 full and 4 affiliated members as of the most recent listing of October 25th 2010. And article 10.1.2 is also inapplicable because the return of the warrant can only be demanded by the GM, not one of his flunkys. The WM concludes by most respectfully telling the Super Prefect that he can put his letter where the monkey put his nuts.
Here at LML in English we are certain that our spiritual guide, Honorary Consul for Djibouti in Marseilles, Air Bongo frequent flyer and recipient of unsolicited correspondence from the French President will shoot off a covering letter justifying the Super Prefect’s decree.
