Now it's Turkey's turn to say "NO" !!!

The lights have been going out all over Europe for quite some time now. A few days ago a first light went out on the other side of the Atlantic when the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts suspended recognition of the GLNF. Today a light has been switched off away in the eastern sky.

Our Brethtren in Turkey have decided to suspend recognition of the GLNF until such time as a new Grand Master is elected and the necessary reforms are put in place. Despite the country having suffered political turmoil at various times, Freemasonry has a long history in Turkey with the first Lodge having been established in Istanbul in 1721 and the first Grand Lodge of Turkey was consecrated in 1862. Today the Grand Lodge of Turkey has more than 12000 members.

Further details as they come to hand.
