The PGM of Maine Atlantique ups the ante…
…and gets a reply !!
Myosotis Maine Atlantique linkreports that all is not smooth sailing for the recently instated PGM J-M H…….t.
There are initiated initiators or those who think they are but who are, in fact, merely “Their Master’s Voice” …..and there are true Masons, free men of good conduct, who, elected by their Brethren, become, for the brief time of a mandate, Heads of the Order and responsible for the overall conduct of their Lodge. They are our Worshipful Masters !!
Nature has granted some of them a certain virile attitude and they dare to express themselves with dignity and respect, which do not exclude Firmness and Fraternity.
A recent example :
The WMs on Maine Atlantique Province have received from their PGM (he shows himself at last…one had forgotten there was a brand new one) the following letter putting the dots on the I’s.
“My Well Loved Brother,
…it seemed necessary to me to make a few observations and to clarify some areas.
- Firstly the Grand Mastership is not vacant.
- The presidency of the association is entrusted by right to the GM of the GLNF who has resigned from this position.
- This resignation is purely civil and does not prejudice decisions taken concerning the masonic character.
- The temporary administrator designated by the courts does not interfere with the masonic functioning of the Obedience and her mandate is limited to the civil functioning of the association.
- While waiting for the decision of the courts on the appeal, the ordinances received by the WMs remain valid and must be brought to the attention of the Brethren.
I hope these explanations will help better understand the constitutive rules of our Obedience…”
As you see this letter appears to be addressed to the ignorant who have failed to understand our Rules. Well, it failed !!
Here is the reply sent by a WM :
“Most Worthy Brother,
I have just received your letter that has been widely distributed.
Your interpretation of the legal situation of the GLNF is François Stifani’s version.
I am obliged to note that the Court Judgements of the French republic, as well as those of certain high masonic authorities, assisted by the best law specialists, remind us that François Stifani is capable of error on a regular basis and that his resignation from one of his two functions automatically creates the vacancy of the other. All the texts demonstrate that the two functions are inextricably linked.
Without taking sides today and despite your peremptory remarks, to me it seems preferable and reasonable that the WMs can act with great caution in order to maintain calm in our Lodges. François Stifani’s words having already drawn our Brethren down paths that lead nowhere.
In the chaos which reigns within the GLNF the only structures which function well and continue to practice Regular Masonry, are our Lodges.
Consequently, each WM will decide what he feels best for his own Lodge.
As for me and while waiting for the deadlines to arrive, MW J…-M…, I respectfully request that you let me do my Duty as Head of the Order.
Most Fraternal Wishes”
