What’s good for the goose…

Hey Brethren, take a gander at this. link

Today’s issue of the French satirical weekly, “Le Canard Enchaîné” reveals a bit more about the sumptuous lifestyle led by Ephesse. In the 12 month period from September 2009 to August 2010, a period where the grassroots Brethren began asking questions, the self-appointed GLNF guru spent 54 935 € in accommodation and meals at the Paris Hilton. Even Paris Hilton herself would have been struggling to spend that much. And no doubt she gets a family discount !

An examination of the GLNF account books at December 31st, 2010 (not the principal ledger, we’re still waiting for Miss Monique and Henry the Beancounter to find it !) reveals entries of 14 890.68 € for “travel expenses” and 21 751.54 € for “entertainment expenses. The total falls somewhat short of the Paris Hilton figure. Could it be that Ephesse and Henry the Beancounter have been indulging in a little “creative” accountancy ? Like so many questions raised about the GLNF accounts we are likely to wait a long time for the             answers. One question springs to mind immediately : Did Mr Bellot, Miss Monique’s official auditor, query these figures when he audited that period ? And if so, what answer did he get and did it satisfy him ? If not, why did he propose the approval of the accounts at the February 4th AGM ?

On the very day the “Canard Enchaîné” revealed these figures Ephesse has the effrontery to write to the GLNF Brethren (how many are left ?) deploring the 3 million euros Miss Monique has cost the GLNF since her appointment, including 700 000 € just for the February 4th AGM (and probably a similar figure for next Saturday without counting the half million for the Brethrens’ travel expenses.
